In the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, the Noida police detained Shrikant Tyagi and three other people on Tuesday. Tyagi describes himself on social media as a national executive member of the BJP's Kisan Morcha.
Due to the fact that Tyagi was always attempting to contact his wife and attorney, the police received a tip about his whereabouts. On Monday night, he had arrived in Saharanpur. He landed in Meerut on Tuesday morning, where he was taken into custody. Following a meeting with his loved ones on Wednesday, he made the decision to surrender before the court.
The day before his arrest, bulldozers demolished the unauthorised building in front of his home at the Grand Omaxe housing society in Noida's Sector-93B.
His wife had earlier that day been brought into police custody once more for questioning. Around 6 am on Tuesday, the police came and took his wife from Srikant's apartment. She was detained by the Noida Police on Friday, and they interrogated her for more than 24 hours. Additionally, the police have detained and are interviewing Srikant's relatives.
