In a joint operation, the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Wednesday apprehended a Pakistani boat six miles inside Indian waters.

The boat was loaded with 40 kgs of drugs, estimated to be around Rs 200 crore.

The Pakistani vessel Al Tayyasa was captured 33 nautical miles off the Gujarati coast of Jakhau by two rapid attack boats of the coast guard involved in the operation.

Six crew members, along with the boat, are being brought to Jakhau for further investigation.

The Coast Guard and the state ATS have foiled similar attempts of drug smuggling off the Gujarat coast in the past as well.
