Indian businessman Rameswar Rao Jupally was honoured with the Champions of Change Telangana award for his exceptional contribution in the field of social welfare. Justice KG Balakrishnan, Former CJI and Former Chairman, NHRC felicitated him with the award.
The first ever Champions of Change Telangana Award was held on 25 February 2022 at Taj Deccan- Kohinoor Hall in Hyderabad, Telangana. Eminent personalities from the state of Telangana were honoured for their immense contribution towards the society.
Some of the other esteemed personalities who were felicitated at the award ceremony were Gastroenterologist and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Nageswar Reddy, Badminton champion and Padma Bhushan PV Sindhu, Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly Pilot Rohith Reddy and Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
From a simple man to a doctor to a successful industrialist, Dr Jupally has made a lasting impression, both on a professional and a personal note. He was born in an agricultural family in 1955 at a small village called Kudikilla in Mahaboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh. Situated in the vicinity of Nallapura forests, the village had very few facilities and Dr Jupally had to walk miles to attend his school. He then later moved to Hyderabad for his higher education and graduated in homeopathy.
In 1981, he established My Home Constructions Private Limited. My Home constructions has built projects of 7.5 million sft area, 16 million sft under construction and tens of millions sft under planning stage.
Dr Jupally has always been a very sensitive person believing in equal rights and facilities for every section of the society. He stood as a voice for the underprivileged and set up his homeopathy practice near Dilsukhnagar, an area where many poor and illiterate people lived. As a practicing homeopath he strived a great deal to mitigate their social and financial needs. He has also actively been a part of many CSR activities through his establishment. His vision is exemplary and is personally involved in uplifting the poor and the downtrodden.
Champions of Change is an Indian award, for promoting Gandhian values, (Swachata), community service and social development (in Aspirational district in India), selected by constitutional jury members headed by K.G. Balakrishnan, Former Chief Justice of India and Former Chairman NHRC along with Former Judge of Supreme Court of India. Champions of Change Telangana award is a state version of Champions of change national award.
IFIE annually organizes Champions of Change Award at International, National and state-Level in India and it is usually presented by the President, Vice-President, Governor or a leading figure of India. Mr. Nandan Jha is the founder and Chairman of Champions of Change Award.
