Krishna Janmabhoomi case transferred to Allahabad High Court on Hindu side's plea

The Shahi Masjid Idgah dispute, in which Hindu worshippers have asserted rights over the land on which it is built, was petitioned to be transferred from the Mathura district court to the high court

The Allahabad High Court will now hear all issues pertaining to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute. The matters currently being tried in the Mathura lower court have been transferred to the HC.

The Shahi Masjid Idgah dispute, in which Hindu worshippers have asserted rights over the land on which it is built, was petitioned to be transferred from the Mathura district court to the high court. The high court had reserved its judgement on the petition on May 3.

It was stated in the petition that the Krishna Janmabhoomi case in Mathura holds national importance and should be heard in the high court.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman, along with seven other people, including the respondents' legal representative Ranjana Agnihotri, filed the petition at Katra Keshav Dev Khewat in Mathura.

The Shahi Masjid Idgah Management Committee, Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, Katra Keshav Dev, Deeg Gate, Mathura, and Shri Krishna Janma Sthan Sewa Sansthan, Katra Keshav Dev, Deeg Gate, Mathura are the respondents in the lawsuit.
