'Champions of Change, Maharashtra' to be held today at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai

The awards are aimed to felicitate those Champions who have worked as real heroes in various fields to promote courage, social welfare, development, and uplifting of the society

It's now time for the much-awaited ceremonial awards function of the prestigious Champions of Change Maharashtra, organised by Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, an offshoot of popular monthly national magazine, Power Corridors and country's biggest news portal carrying rural India’s voice, Panchayati Times. The date is, 30th September 2021, Thursday at Taj Mahal Palace hotel, Colaba, Mumbai.

Honourable Governor of Maharashtra His Excellency Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari will confer the awards as the Chief Guest and Dr.Ved Pratap Vaidik (Veteran Journalist) will preside over the ceremony.

The awardees are selected by the eminent Jury headed by Former Supreme Court Chief Justice & Justice. The awards are aimed to felicitate those Champions who have worked as real heroes in various fields to promote courage, social welfare, development, and uplifting of the society.

Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Devendra Fadnavis has been selected for the award. And this selection has been done by the constitutional jury in view of the efforts and commendable work done by them in the state of Maharashtra.

Apart from this, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has also been selected for this award. Dilip Walse Patil is a well-known Indian politician and is serving as the Home Minister in the Government of Maharashtra. 

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Falgunrao Patole has also been selected. Nana Falgunrao Patole is an Indian politician who is the President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee since 5 February 2021.

Apart from this, many other personalities including social reformer Sindhutai Sapkal, film actor Jackie Shroff and director of 'Adarsh ​​Gram Programme' of Maharashtra government Poptrao Pawar will be awarded for this award, who have worked for the upliftment of the society.

The State award is a legacy of Champions of Change Awards which are a highly prestigious nationally recognised awards event in India. The National Awards were founded by Advocate & media personality Nandan Jha in 2018 & conferred annually by either Hon'ble President, Hon'ble Vice President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Governors or any leading constitutional figure of India.

Since last 3 consecutive years, the Chief Guests for the National Award are-

Hon’ble Vice- President of India Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Former President of India Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

Past notable winners of “Champions of Change Award” includes Shri M. K. Stalin (CM of Tamil Nadu), Shri Pramod Sawant (CM of Goa), Shri Hemant Soren (CM of Jharkhand), Shri N. Biren Singh (CM of Manipur), Swami AvdheshanandGiriji Maharaj (Mahamandelashwar of Juna Akhara), Shri Anurag Thakur (Union Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs, Information & Broadcasting), Shri Manish Sisodia (Deputy CM of Delhi) & Shri Shripad Naik (MOS, Govt. of India), and from Indian Film Industry the awardees include Smt. Hema Malini, Smt. Sushmita Sen, Smt. Shilpa Shetty, Shri Pahlaj Nihalani and Shri Sonu Nigam.

It's for the first time that such an awards function is being so meticulously hosted in Maharashtra, a State rich in culture and tradition and the State that has given the country one of its all-time greatest warriors, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
