Agnipath protests: Protestors vandalise Bihar Deputy CM Renu Devi's house

Protestors have continued their agitation even on the on the third day against the new military scheme even as the Central government on Thursday extended the upper age limit for the Agnipath recruitment scheme from 21 years to 23 years

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi’s residence in Bettiah was attacked on Friday by army aspirants protesting against the new recruitment scheme -Agnipath. "Our residence in Bettiah was attacked. We suffered a lot of damage. She (Renu Devi) is in Patna," her son told news agency ANI as violent protests continued for the second day across Bihar. Devi belongs to the BJP, which is in power in the state in alliance with the JD-U of Nitish Kumar . The protesters also attacked the residence of Bihar BJP chief Sanjay Jaiswal in Bettiah.

Trains have been set ablaze amid the ongoing anger and a total of 200 train services were affected due to this agitation. 35 train services stand cancelled while 13 have been short terminated, throughout the country, reports ANI.
 
Protesters allegedly attacked Bihar BJP president and West Champaran MP Sanjay Jaiswal's house. Jaiswal, while confirming the development to ANI, said that he was at his ancestral residence when the incident took place. "Not much damage to the property has been done," he said.
