Earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hits Tamil Nadu's Vellore

On December 22, a similar earthquake of magnitude 3 had hit Chikkaballapura district, around 61 km away from Bengaluru in Karnataka

An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on richter scale struck Tamil Nadu's Vellore district on Thursday. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake was reported at 3:14 pm at a depth of 10 km.

On December 22, a similar earthquake of magnitude 3 had hit Chikkaballapura district, around 61 km away from Bengaluru in Karnataka. The first earthquake had a magnitude of 3.1 and occurred at 7.09 AM on Wednesday morning. The second earthquake occurred five minutes later, at 7.14 am.
