Police have launched an investigation after a retired Indian Air Force pilot and his wife, were found murdered in their villa inside the Eagleton Resort on the western outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday. Police suspect that one of the employees of the couple, Joginder Singh, committed the murders with the help of others for stealing the valuables. Singh is now absconding.
The deceased have been identified as Raghurajan (70) and his wife Asha (63), both from Chennai. The couple is survived by two sons and both of them work at a private firm in Delhi.
According to a report published in the Deccan Herald (DH), the incident came to light when their sons called the security guards to check the villa since his parents were not picking up the calls.
When the guards went inside the villa to check, Singh, who used to take care of their dog, told them that the couple had gone to Bengaluru early in the morning. The information was shared with their sons but they did not believe what Singh said and asked the guards to go and check inside the villa.
