Krishna Janmabhoomi-Idgah dispute: Mathura court seeks official survey of mosque complex

The court will need to receive the report by January 20. All the parties involved in the case have received notification from the court

The Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Idgah conflict matter recently saw a new development when the Mathura district court on Saturday ordered an official survey of the mosque complex. The matter will be heard again on January 20, 2023.

On appeal by the Hindu side, Civil Judge Senior Division issued an order for the survey of the disputed location.

The court will need to receive the report by January 20. All the parties involved in the case have received notification from the court.

According to the Hindu side, the Idgah mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb by tearing down a temple on 13.37 acres of land that belonged to Lord Krishna.
