Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will lead a protest march to the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Thursday where he will be joined by all Congress MPs and leaders to submit a memorandum with two crore signatures against the farm laws to President Ramnath Kovind.

Congress has collected these signatures from across the country, urging an intervention from the President for withdrawal of the three farm reform laws.

To show solidarity with farmers who have been protesting at the Delhi borders for almost a month in the freezing weather, the delegation of Congress MPs and leaders led by Rahul Gandhi will march from Vijay Chowk near Parliament building to the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Congress had launched a nationwide campaign to collect memoranda of appeals addressed to the President of India signed by the farmers, farm labourers and other stakeholders opposing these legislations right from the initial stage of introduction of these bills in the Parliament.

Around two crore signatories have sought intervention from the President for the withdrawal of the three farm laws. These will be submitted by the Congress delegation.

The protest march will mark a fresh offensive by the Congress against the Modi government over the contentious farm reform laws which have faced stiff opposition from farmers and political parties.
