Ex-army officer & CEO of Asclepius Wellness Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar has been awarded the prestigious Champions of Change Award 2020. He has been chosen for the award by a constitutional jury headed by K.G. Balakrishnan, Former CJI and Former Chairman, NHRC.
Born and brought up in Modinagar in Ghaziabad district, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar started his career by serving the country through Indian Army. After serving the army for around 16 years, he decided to retire and pursue other means of serving his country. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar realized that unemployment and diseases are two of the major issues and he decided to work on them.
Mr. Sanjeev was very impressed with Ayurveda and decided to establish his own company, whose products are being used all over the country for being healthy. Because of his exemplary work in the field of healthcare and spreading awareness about Ayurveda, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar has been conferred the Champions of Change Award 2020.
After receiving the honour Mr. Sanjeev said, "This award would help me to strive harder and spread the message of Ayurveda in our whole country. It’s truly a special moment”.

Among the other awardees were Chief Minister of Goa Sh. Pramod Sawant, Actress Sushmita Sen and Union Minister of State Shripad Naik. Due to coronavirus, the winners who could not reach the venue were awarded online.

Champions of Change is an Indian award, for promoting Gandhian values, (Swachata), community service and social development (in Aspirational district in india), selected by constitutional jury members headed by K.G. Balakrishnan, Former Chief Justice of India and Former Chairman NHRC. It is given annually in four categories, and usually presented by the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister of India or a leading figure. Mr. Nandan Jha is the founder and head of Champions of Change Award.
The inaugural Champions of Change Award was held in 2018 and it was distributed by the Vice-President of India M.Venkaiah Naidu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The second edition was held in 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi and awards were given by the then President of India, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee. Jharkhand CM Sh. Hemant Soren and Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia were among the recipients of awards.
