Senior journalist and noted news anchor Rohit Sardana passed away today. Sardana was known as a brave journalist who used to discuss issues normally untouched by mainstream media.

Media reports have claimed that Sardana had tested positive for Covid-19 and suffered a heart attack. His death has come as a shock to his followers, fellow journalists, media panelists and the media community as a whole.

Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary tweeted about his untimely demise. Sudhir Chaudhary wrote that he never thought the virus would take away someone so close to him. He said he was not prepared for this.

Presently Rohit Sardana, who has been the face of TV media for a long time, used to anchor the show 'Dangal', which aired on 'Aaj Tak' news channel. In 2018, Rohit Sardana was awarded the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award.
