According to the authorities, a Sweden national was detained on Thursday for groping a flight attendant on an IndiGo 6E-1052 Bangkok-Mumbai trip. The individual has been recognised as Klas Erik Harald Jonasm by the police (62).

Klas was the subject of a complaint from IndiGo alleging that he handled a crew member improperly when paying for the food while intoxicated.

Klas Erik was handed over to the police by the airline staff when the flight landed in Mumbai.

IndiGo has confirmed the incident and said necessary protocols were followed but has not made any statements so far.

Officials said Klas Erik is the eighth unruly airline passenger arrested in India in the past three months.
