Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a pioneer Navratna PSU in Defence, has again contributed Rs 5.45 crores from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds to the PM CARE Funds, to support the efforts of central in dealing with the challenges arising out of the raging second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
BEL has emerged as a leading organization from Navratnas to come forward and provide aid to the society in whichever way possible and is also utilising Rs 4 crores of its CSR Fund to set up medical oxygen generation plants in 12 government hospitals in six states to ramp up their oxygen requirement and help ease the current crisis across the country.
Last year, the company had allocated Rs 10 Crores from its CSR Fund towards the PM CARES Fund, to combat and contain the pandemic in India and also for relief efforts.
Even this year, BEL is giving all its possible help towards the nation and coming forward with full responsibilty and fulfillig al the Social Responsibilities.
