Mukesh Kumar Singh, presently Director (Finance), IRCON International Limited, has been assigned an additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), IRCON after the retirement of present incumbent S K Choudhary on April 30, 2021.

"Singh has assumed the additional charge of the post of CMD of IRCON in addition to his own duties on May 1, for a period of three months or until further orders of Ministry of Railways whichever is the earliest," the PSU said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Singh holds a BA (Hons) degree and an MA degree in Mathematics. He has also done M Phil (Mathematics) and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from IGNOU. He is an Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS) officer of the 1990 batch. Prior to joining Indian Railways, he worked as a lecturer of Mathematics in the University of Delhi. He had worked in various capacities for 25 years in Indian Railways.
