Mr. S K Chaturvedi, Former Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) is no more. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital suffering from Sodium imbalance. 

Earlier in 2008, Chaturvedi assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID). He was also Director (Personnel) in NHPC Ltd.

Mr. Chaturvedi was a Post Graduate from Lucknow University and served 30 years in frontline PSUs such as NMDC, NTPC, POWERGRID, and NHPC Ltd. He was also associated with a number of national/international institutions including SCOPE as its governing body member.

He was also felicitated with Life Time Achievement Award recognising India's PSE Excellence in Core Economy & contribution to Nation during the 3rd PSE Conclave in 2017.
