In the need of oxygen, the steel fraternity is contributing its best towards the nation and stands in the fight of Corona. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the nation has come together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Steel fraternity also standing with the nation in this fight. Across the country the Steel plants are supplying medical oxygen, more than 1.43 lac MT LMO has been supplied by steel plants till now with steel CPSEs pitching in with over 39,000 MT.

Yesterday an Oxygen Train left from RINL ‘s steel plant in Vizag for Maharashtra. Today, another Oxygen Train has left from SAIL’s Bokaro steel plant for UP, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned. 

In Delhi also, medical oxygen is being supplied from steel plants in Odisha with SAIL steel’s Rourkela Steel Plant and Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar Plant contributing. On this Shri Pradhan said, I thank all the steel companies for coming together and responding to the call of the nation and working 24x7 to produce medical oxygen. We will together fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
