Schools and institutions were closed, and waterlogged roadways made it much harder for city residents to communicate on Tuesday as the relentless rain continued to batter Bengaluru.
Today is a vacation in Bengaluru for schools and institutions, according to the Karnataka government. Given the significant rainfall the city received on Monday, the action was done. K Srinivas, the Bengaluru Urban DC, made the announcement.
"Heavy rainfall caused waterlogging in several parts of Bengaluru and several trees were uprooted on Monday. A holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Bengaluru on Tuesday due to heavy rains," stated Srinivas to news agency ANI.
