Charges pressed against SRK in 2017 case

SRK was aboard a train when the incident took place at Kota railway station. The Government Railway Police had lodged an FIR against him 2017 on the complaint of a railway vendor.

Shah Rukh Khan is in trouble as charges against him have been pressed for rioting and endangering the lives of the people during the promotion of his 2017 release film Raees. The charges have been pressed even though the petitioner sought withdrawal of the case.

SRK was aboard a train when the incident took place at Kota railway station. The Government Railway Police had lodged an FIR against him 2017 on the complaint of a railway vendor, Vikram Singh, under different sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rioting, unlawful assembly and affray, and some sections of the railways act.

When the train briefly stopped at the Kota railway station on January 24, 2017, the vendor alleged that the actor threw gifts at fans without getting down from the train. This created a stampede-like situation, thereby causing heavy damage to public property.

Singh’s trolley was also damaged.
