At the event, organised at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said : " We are also preparing for a grand celebration to mark the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji."

PM Modi termed the Kartarpur Corridor Project, as an attempt to undo the mistakes committed during the partition of India and Pakistan, in August 1947. There and then we had failed to include the Holy site of Guru remains in our side of the border. This project will compensate the loss suffered by the Sikh community.

PM promised justice to the families of 1984 anti-sikh riot victims.

He said : " Our government will ensure that all the culprits are behind the bars and victim's families get justice."

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other eminent Sikh personalities attended the event.
