Bengal minister and TMC Leader Babul Supriyo was admitted to the hospital on Monday after claiming to have been experiencing chest pain and sweating since Sunday evening.

A statement by the Woodland Multispeciality Hospital in Kolkata said that Babul Supriyo's "ECG showed minor changes while the echocardiography was within normal limits".

According to the hospital, the doctors recommended coronary angiography, which revealed mild coronary artery disease.

Babul Supriyo is being treated medically and no cardiac intervention was needed.

Trinamool Congress leader Babul Supriyo, who is the West Bengal Information Technology & Electronics and Tourism minister, will be discharged later today.
