On Hindi Diwas, Amit Shah appeals to make Hindi India's national language

Amit Shah appealed to citizens across India to promote both their mother tongue, as well as Hindi to fulfil the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, today Union Home Minister Amit Shah made an appeal to everyone to unify India with the most spoken language in the country- Hindi.

Amit Shah tweeted "India is a country of different languages and every language has its own importance but it is important to have one common language for the whole country which identifies India. Today if there is one language that has the ability to string the national together in unity, it is the Hindi language which is most widely-spoken language in India".

pic.twitter.com/hrk1ktpDCn
