The Islamic States Hind Province (Wilayat Al-Hind) has claimed responsibility for the terror attack that left an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the J&K Police dead and two constables injured on Tuesday in Srinagar.

The terrorists may be seen firing at the police officers in a video of the attack posted by the "Islamic States Hind." The organisation also disseminated a photo of the seized firearm.

Terror outfit Islamic State uses the name "Hind Province" for its operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Terrorists attacked a police team on the outskirts of Srinagar, resulting in the death of a Jammu and Kashmir Police officer and the injuries of two constables.

Around 7:15 o'clock in the evening, the terrorists opened fire on a police checkpoint in the Lal Bazar neighbourhood.
