A bus carrying members of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) plunged into a river in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in at least six troopers' deaths and more than 30 other people's injuries.
On Tuesday, the bus was transporting 39 people, including two J&K Police officers and 37 members of the ITBP. At Zig Morh Frislan in Chandanwari, the bus is said to have veered off the road and into a river.

Earlier, at least 19 ambulances were dispatched to the area. The rescue effort was conducted out by local authorities, including the police and the state disaster response force (SDRF).
