Delhi Police recover weapons used by Aaftab to chop Shraddha's body

Police have also recovered Shraddha's ring that Aaftab had gifted to another girl whom he invited to his flat

The murder weapon used by Aaftab Amin Poonawala to kill Shraddha Walker and then cut her body into 35 pieces was found by Delhi Police on Monday. A day after the suspect was placed in judicial custody and kept in barrack number 4 of Delhi's Tihar Jail, a development occurred.

Police have also recovered Shraddha's ring that Aaftab had gifted to another girl whom he invited to his flat. Shraddha's body parts were kept inside the refrigerator when he called the girl at his place.

The body of Shraddha, Aaftab's live-in spouse, is said to have been sawed into 35 pieces and preserved for about three weeks in a 300-liter refrigerator at his Mehrauli home in South Delhi.

After arresting Aaftab, Delhi Police conducted a search at his residence and recovered five knives from which were sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to ascertain if they were used in the crime.

Earlier in the day, the remaining sessions of polygraph test were conducted by the FSL in Delhi's Rohini. According to police officials, Aaftab FSL at 9.50 am and the sessions began at around 11 am. On Friday, Aaftab had already undergone three sessions of the test, also known as the lie-detector test.
