On Tuesday, there was heavy rain in a few areas of Delhi-NCR, raising concerns about possible disruptions to train and road traffic. Images, shortly after the city was pelted with rain revealed waterlogging in certain areas of the national capital. However, the recent showers provide relief from the recent humidity that residents have been dealing with.
The northern sections of Delhi were expected to experience light to moderate "passing rain," according to private weather forecasting company Skymet Weather. Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram in Haryana and Faridabad, which share a border with Delhi, were also warned to prepare for rain.
The capital is expected to have traffic jams as a result of the heavy rain and flooding that have affected numerous areas of the city. The Delhi Police has recommended commuters to make proper preparations. “Traffic Alert As per IMD report. Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly,” it said in a tweet.

In the meantime, amid morning showers, Delhi's air quality on Monday dramatically improved. The AQI (Air Quality Index) was 115, according to HT. Due to anticipated light and trace rain, the air quality is predicted to remain in the'satisfactory' level on Tuesday as well.
Apart from Delhi, the states of Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra are also reeling under flood-like situation in several parts due to heavy downpour. Gujarat’s Ahmedabad has been witnessing severe waterlogging from the last two days as per ANI. In Telangana, the chief minister has asked all the authorities to be on alert amid heavy rain forecast.
