In the Bharatpur area of Rajasthan, a teacher changed her gender in order to marry her pupil. Physical education instructor Meera changed her gender for love and now goes as Aarav Kuntal. And Aarav took this step for Kalpana.

Kalpana was enrolled at a government school in Bharatpur where Meera was assigned as a physical education instructor. 

“Meera was our physical education teacher at the school. I fell in love then. And three years ago, Meera changed her gender and now is Aarav. We got married after both our families consented to the match,” Kalpana said.

Talking about the gender change, Aarav Kuntal said that he always wished to change his gender. "I always wished to undergo surgery to change my gender. I had my first surgery in December 2019," said Aarav Kuntal.
