After conducting raids on the residences of three Bihar government employees, the Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) seized more than Rs 4 crore in cash.

Multiple locations in Patna and Kishanganj, Bihar, connected to Sanjay Kumar Rai, an executive engineer in the Kishanganj division of the public works department, were raided concurrently by teams of VIB inspectors.

When security guards showed up at Rai's Kishanganj house, they discovered that he had been keeping money that had allegedly been given to him as a kickback in the offices of a junior engineer and cashier. Teams then carried out raids on Rai's subordinates.
