Dr BL Chaudhary, Director of the DDU Hospital organized a discussion on the ‘Ekatm Manavvad’ where the eminent speakers expressed their views on the topic of discussion. All the hospital staff and doctors participated in the discussion.

Dr BL Chaudhary spoke highly of Pt Upadhyay and said that it is his contribution towards integral humanism which has paved way for the development of nation and he will be forever remember for his immense contribution towards humanity. He said that western political thought had given the ideology of 'secularism, individualism (capitalism), socialism and communism to human beings. The leadership of independent India was also searching for the future of India in these promises. Deendayal ji intervened in this search and raised the question that when we have rejected western imperialism, then what is our compulsion to follow western promises.

Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay proposed the concept of Integral humanism in order to give independent India an ideological basis on which nation building into One India can be done. Integral humanism, means that the human being is at the core position of the social, political and economic model. It is opposed to both Western liberalism and Marxian socialism which it views as materialistic ideologies incapable of dealing with native problems.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his first term, had announced to celebrate ‘Antyodaya Diwas’ on September 25, 2014, on the occasion of the 98th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, which is being officially celebrated every year since September 25, 2015. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was the first to give the slogan of Antyodaya.

Mr Nandan Jha also expressed his views on the life of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay. He said that Pt Upadhyay was a revered nationalist who lived a life for the humanity and thanks to the second Chief of the RSS Guru Golwakar ji, he entered politics and how he transformed the world is there to be seen. Mr Jha said that he feels privileged to be a part of such an event. He said that during the tough times of Coronavirus, the whole world understood the importance of doctors in their lives and that we are indebted to all the contribution the doctors made in our lives. He said that he feels as if he is the part of this family as his wife is also a doctor and has worked for so many years with BL sir in the Indira Gandhi Hospital.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital was started in 1970 as a 50 Bedded hospital which was extended up to 500 Beds in 1987. The event was organized to commemorate the great nationalist Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay who is regarded as one of the most prominent faces in the history of Indian politics. Upadhyaya was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) thinker and co-founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS), which is the forerunner of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Upadhyaya was born in 1916 in Nagla Chandrabhan village, now called Deendayal Dham, near the town of Farah in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district.
