Ms Akriti Verma, the founder and director of Renaissance Industries Pvt Ltd, has revolutionised the cement sector with her passion. She is from Bihar, a state known for its stupas and monasteries, and has built a reputation for herself in the corporate world. She graduated from Delhi University with a bachelor's degree and went on to Singapore University for her MBA.
She walks us through her whole procedure. "Competing against industry heavyweights such as Birlas and Asian Paints was intimidating, but it just added to the significance of the triumph." I believe that my experience will encourage other women to establish their own manufacturing businesses. It's only getting started, and everyone of us has the power to make significant changes. "Arise, awaken, and do not stop till the goal is reached," Swami Vivekanand famously said.
Akriti sought to establish a platform that encouraged more women to engage in a sector that contributed to India's growth, given the scarcity of female entrepreneurs in manufacturing. She has established a precedent as a female entrepreneur in an underserved market, notably in Bihar, which is regarded to have a limited startup culture despite its huge potential.
As we all know, it is extremely difficult to thrive as a female entrepreneur in this business, and the quantity and domination of males in the profession made her road far from easy. Before they were referred to as milestones, they had to overcome a plethora of stumbling barriers.
She finds great joy in the idea that God has given each of us unique abilities to face and overcome difficulties as a woman. While a man's knees may buckle in the face of adversity, every woman on the planet will stand firm and fight with all her might.
We learned from Akriti's experience that she didn't obtain everything she desired on a silver platter. She's had her share of disappointments and hardships. She lost a very strong pillar of strength, her biggest inspiration, her mother, while she was only establishing the production unit in 2019. She was sad and despondent for months after her mother died suddenly. She was unable to operate in both her personal and professional lives. Her body and mind seemed to cease working as she lost her spirit. Despite the incomprehensible loss, life must continue on, as the saying goes.
As a corollary, Akriti is determined to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for women. She is vital to enable Bihar's women so that subsequent generations would be better off than present ones. In the next five years, the company wishes to become the top manufacturer of paints and colours, based on solid management and verifiable outcomes.
Skipping towards the positive part, She was recently recognised as a young achiever for her persistent efforts in improving the cement sector. When we asked where she got her tenacity and devotion from, she said it all came from her mother. "Despite the fact that many others thought she was just a housewife, I regarded her as a strong woman who cared deeply about her family. Housewives should be awarded because staying at home and handling everything is the hardest task, and all those ladies out there do it with a big brave grin that hides their feelings for us."
On a private level, she is an avid backpacker with a strong desire to see the globe; she has travelled around 26 countries to date. She's also a gym junkie, believing that a healthy body keeps the thoughts engaged all the time.
