Yogi Government's Food Park is all set to offer new investment opportunities to Food Processing Industries.
UPSIDA has completed construction work on roads in the Mega Food Park, Baheri, near Bareilly. The 250-acre land will create a window of opportunities to the Food Processing Industries.
CEO UPSIDA Mayur Maheshwari said: "Mega Food Park is being developed on 250-acre land in Baheri near Bareilly. The land has been reserved for companies in the food park. The entire process is kept online. A total of 30 acres has been reserved for Hindustan Petroleum. Hindustan Petroleum will set up a bottling plant there. There will be a primary center in the food park, where farmers will be able to sell their goods to entrepreneurs."
The scheme of Mega Food Park aims at providing a mechanism to link agricultural production to the market by bringing together farmers, processors and retailers to ensure maximizing value addition, minimizing wastage, increasing farmers' income and creating employment opportunities, particularly in the rural sector.
The Mega Food Park Scheme is based on a “cluster” approach and envisages creation of state of the art support infrastructure in a well-defined agri and horticultural zone for setting up of modern food processing units in the industrial plots provided in the park with a well-established supply chain.
