Champions of Change Haryana Awardee Neeraj Chopra became the World No. 1 on Monday.
With 1455 points, Neeraj Chopra took first place, 22 points ahead of Anderson Peters of Grenada. The Indian javelin throw prodigy reached No. 2 in the world on August 30, 2022, but has since remained in second place to defending world champion Peters.
Neeraj Chopra was awarded with Champions of Change Haryana in October 2022.

Neeraj Chopra became the first sportsperson from India to win the coveted Diamond League trophy when he triumphed in the Diamond League 2022 finals in Zurich in September of last year. After the victory in Zurich, he was forced to miss time due to an injury.
Neeraj Chopra, who currently owns the men's javelin throw national record for India, competed again at the season-opening Doha Diamond League on May 5 of this year and took first place with a throw of 88.67 metres. At the Doha event, Anderson Peters achieved 85.88 meters to place third.
