Gold medalist in wrestling from the 2010 Commonwealth Games Narsingh Yadav has defended under fire Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, claiming that he offered athletes from other states besides Haryana an opportunity and that the accusations made against him are unfounded.
Narsingh Yadav said there is favoritism in every training camp in Haryana and Brij Bhushan was the one who was against it and wanted to give opportunities to everyone.
“There is favoritism in every training camp in Haryana. Where doesn't it happen? Brijbhushan ji was against it, he gives opportunity to everyone, that's why all this is happening,” said Yadav.
He continued by claiming that Brij Bhushan is innocent of all charges, that things have changed since he took office, and that he has also given players from other states an opportunity.
