England to face New Zealand for the World Cup title

Cricket fans around the world will see a new World Champion being crowned when Hosts England will take on New Zealand in the finals of ICC Cricket World Cup

In a one-sided encounter on Thursday England defeated Defending Champions Australia by 8 wickets to the enter the Final. A hostile bowling performance from England pacers broke the backbone of Australian batting. Barring Steve Smith no Australian batsman got going as Australia managed to get 223 off 49 overs before being all out after a fiery opening spell from Chris Woakes (3/20) and Jofra Archer (2/32) had them gasping for breath at 14 for three.

Jason Roy (85) and Jonny Bairstow (34) made the chase look like a cakewalk as both smashed the Aussie batsmen all around the park. England managed to reach the target in 32.1 overs losing just two wickets. Joe Root (49 not out) and Morgan (45 not out) completed the formalities with the bat.

Now England will face Kiwis in the finals of the World Cup on Sunday.
