MS Dhoni, former Indian captain, who led India to numerous wins all around the globe is into last phase of his career and there is a lot of speculation that he might have played his last ODI against New Zealand in the World Cup semis. The man, who many consider the finest captain of Team India, is under scanner for a long time and question marks are being raised over his performances in recent times. The selection panel will meet on Sunday to pick squads for the West Indies tour amid intense focus on Dhoni's future.
As a captain MS Dhoni had taken some tough decisions and played a key role in removing seniors like Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. Former India opener Gautam Gambhir feels Dhoni himself once invested in the future as senior by demanding younger players be tried out, and it is now time that India's selection committee takes "practical decisions" with regards to Dhoni himself.
Recently Mahendra Singh Dhoni made himself "unavailable" for Team India's tour of Windies as speculations raged about his future. MSD, who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army, will be spending most part of the next 2 months with his regiment according to reports.
During the CB Series in Australia in 2012, MS Dhoni had said that he can't play all three of Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir together as they wanted to invest in the youngsters for the future.
