After the recent bloodbath in Myanmar, India govt hasn’t taken any sort of action. It’s like they have become deaf and dumb. Myanmar Army killed more than 125 people and hundreds of Burmese are on the verge of death. The army did a coup on 1st February 2021. During these two months, it has killed more than 200 unarmed protesters.
The way India reacted after the coup and arrest of Mrs. Suu Kyi, I believed instead of messing with the Myanmar Army India will deploy the tactic of ‘Silent democracy’ but now I feel we don’t have this alternative. After such a huge bloodbath in India’s neighboring country if we remain silent, then this shows the impotence of India. We can avoid the coup etc by terming it as an internal matter of the neighboring countries, but the mass murder of unarmed people is a world crime. It is also the murder of human rights.
America, Britain and Europe are far-off countries for Burma, but I would admire their courage that their ambassadors sitting in Rangoon under the shadow of the Burmese army have strongly condemned this massacre but our gimmick leaders sitting in Delhi are really scared of it. They should think that whether in a country in South Asia, the Army has so badly killed the people like the children, girls, women and unarmed men murdered in Myanmar?
It is fine that we should not interfere in the internal affairs of a neighboring country, but let us never forget that countries like Burma and Sri Lanka were part of India 80-90 years ago. The people of those countries and the ones in India are like a family. How can we see the mass murders in these countries?
During 1971, Indira Gandhi couldn’t see this massacre and she sent the armed forces there. Is the same thing not happening in Myanmar (Burma)? This is our chance to show whether we have a ’56 inch ka seena’ or not. Let’s see, how far does our government stand in this ordeal?
