According to intelligence sources, two unknown assailants shot and killed Paramjit Singh Panjwar, a designated terrorist and the leader of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF), in Johar Town in the Pakistani city of Lahore.
At around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, also known as Malik Sardar Singh, was slain close to his home in Sunflower Society in Johar Town. In the gunfight, his shooter sustained injuries.
Born in Panjwar village near Taran Taran, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, 59, was involved in reviving the Sikh insurgency, murder, drug and weapons smuggling.
He joined the KCF in 1986, prior to which he was working in a Central Cooperative Bank in Sohal.
In the 1990s, Panjwar assumed leadership of KCF, crossed into Pakistan, and remained in Lahore while his family moved to Germany.
Sources claim that over the past ten years, Paramjit was more involved with drugs than terror-related crimes.
Panjwar was actively involved in the use of drones to carry drugs in Punjab, hence it is believed that his murder was related to an inter-gang conflict over drugs.
